Oh my god!!! Where do i start?
First of all i have put my pix in the Video and Pictures section! (I hope that was okay Neil - change it around if i've put it in the wrong section)
Okay, be prepared for this - it'll be a long one!!!!!
We got to Walsall just before the club opened so we had a drink in the pub opposite. (right close to the window, so we could keep an eye on the queue!!)
That's when we noticed the huge poster advertising Rob being there. But the banner across it said TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!! We were slightly worried. Had we got the wrong date!!!!?? Girls were starting to queue up so at 9.45pm we headed over, where we saw that we were there on the right day, the club had just forgotten to change the banner! (Trying to scare us!!!!!)
I have never seen a queue grow so fast with so many girls in it!!!!
We got in at 10.15pm where we waited until midnight for Rob to come out!! We had tried to plan where to stand. We knew he would be in the DJ booth, but then the photo opportunity section was on the other side of the room!!! We decided to stay by the DJ booth so at midnight we were literally 2 metres away from Rob when he came out. He just looked so gorgeous, though slightly overwhelmed and almost shy!! To be honest, i was in a bit of a daze so didn't really listen to the questions they were asking him. One question was what he liked his 'girl' to drink on a night out. He answered 'Gotta be a pint i think'. Another question was what colour hair he liked his girls to have. He looked really embarassed about that question. He laughed and said 'Any colour will do!!!'
He was on stage for only 10 minutes. On the way off stage he walked past us (I was only about 1 metre away) so i recorded him on my camera walking past!! He looked like he was concentrating very hard walking through the crowd!!
He went upstairs to do the same thing on the second floor, so we all ran over to the photo section and started queuing up. He came down and started doing the photos soon after.
At this point, i would like to warn any fans going to meet Rob in a club. The 'queueing' system was non-existent, and potentially VERY dangerous. Everyone was pushing to get to the front (to be honest, that included us!!
) We must have 'queued' for about an hour, and it was really crushed!!!! One girl looked like she was going to faint, and at one point i was holding her up, incase she fell!!! I didn't even know her!! The security guard thought she was faking it, and who knows, maybe she was.
Anyway, slowly but surely i got to the guard - knowing i would be next. As he lifted his arm up, i turned round, grabbed my sister and dragged her through 2 people in the way!!!
Then we were there in front of Rob!!!!!!!!!
He held his arm out to guide us both as to where to stand. He gave us both a kiss on the cheek (unfortunately, not the lips
)
I said we were sisters, and he looked at the photographer (who was very annoyingly pretty!!) and said 'Arrr, i'm having sisters!!'.
We had our photo taken and we sat down with him where he signed a personal autograph to both of us. As he was talking to my sis, i found myself just staring at him!!!!!!!
Sarah (my sis) asked him what it felt like to be idolized by so many girls. His response was, 'It's actually quite unpleasant tonight.'
We told him it was manic out there with girls pushing and it was really hot. We told him he was in the best place.
He actually said he was sorry for all the pushing.
My sis said, 'Don't worry, it's all worth it!!'
That was when we had to say good bye so he kissed us again on the cheek, and i remember i had my arm still on his back, and as he said bye and take care, i kind of groped his back alittle!!!!
My sis actually thanked him. We noticed alot of the girls weren't saying thanks or anything, so we thought we would. He said we were very welcome!!
And after picking up our ticket for the photo, we were by the bar trying to take in what had just happened!!!!!!
At 2 am we went and picked up the photo and got outta there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was still there having photos taken, bless him.
Conclusion?
.......
He was absolutely gorgeous and so very polite. I can't believe he stood there and had a picture with virtually EVERY person in that club!!! Apart from a few breaks outside to catch his breath (and have a Bud) he was there constantly having pictures taken. The mad thing was, he was the same with everyone. He never looked like he was tiring or getting fed up at all.
The main things i remember (don't ask me why) was the softness of his t.shirt when i put my arm on his back.... i know - pretty random!!
The second thing was his smell, which was YUM, as you would expect.
He was taller than i thought he would be, and his body was just as we expected!!!
Unlike in 'Enders his jeans were much more fitted. That went down well, as you would expect!!
We were slightly more star struck than we thought we would be, but overall we were glad he was just like he was!! Sometimes when you meet a celebrity, they can let you down, but Rob exceeded our expectations. He was lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the way back to the car, we were more concerned about people nicking our photo!! Don't know why, cuz why would they want it!!!!)
In the car home we were so excited we drove down a one-way street the WRONG way!!!!! (No, we weren't drunk!!)
And at 3am i crawled into bed next to my hubby!!! He actually woke up and looked at the picture with interest bless him.
So that's it. All over until the next time...
